Selected Accomplishments

  • Saved (repaired and retained relationships) four multi-million dollar accounts which were in review and turned them into long term, very profitable and satisfied accounts.

  • Conceived the “Americanization of Toyota” strategy and developed the creative platform to execute it in 1988, and the core strategy persists today. 

  • Developed an annual communications planning process for clients that focuses all marketing and communications to drive maximum revenue. The process involves determining the correct products to focus on, defining the target audience,  determining which media to employ and when and what the creative message should be for each medium, given overall integration and alignment. Done correctly, it maximizes sales, profits and media exposure with messaging that resonates with consumers.

  • Won twenty-five creative awards for TV, Radio, OOH and print executions/campaigns.

  • Developed a digital suite of services for Lincoln dealer associations that became the template at the time for all Ford Lincoln Mercury dealer groups. This included website and micro sites, SEO, PPC, on-line lead generation, contests and events, online banners and display ads and more.

  • Received a perfect performance review three years running from Ford Motor Company for the business units I ran, the first person to achieve that rating once, let alone three times.  

  • Earner Google Certified Partner status.

  • Developed business plans and the associated financials for companies in the following industries: golf, loyalty/education, health care, logistics/supply chain/statistical process control, hydrogen fuel, communications, digital ad networks, motorcycle manufacturing and distribution, fire arms and munitions. For three of them I developed and gave the investor presentations, securing private equity funding.

  • Exceeded objective and earned the maximum incentive bonus in every sales position I've held.

  • Selected for the Knight Ridder management development program for future publishers.

  • Recognized by the Dean of The Eli Broad College of Business for outstanding performance each of the five semesters I taught marketing at Michigan State University.
